A light refurbishment project transformed boring BTLs into beautiful Short-Stay Accommodations

We originally bought this off-plan property in Preston to let out as BTLs. With the dramatic interest increase in 2022, it didn’t work as a BTL anymore. We turned it into a serviced accommodation to achieve the desired return on investment.

With a little creativity, it's possible to transform even the most boring buy-to-let property into a beautiful and desirable serviced accommodation, even within a tight budget. We gave the walls a fresh lick of paint, upgraded the light fittings and hardware of the kitchen, re-design the furniture layout, and staged it tastefully with soft furnishings.

We spent £5000 to make all these simple and cost-effective updates. The results speak for themselves as the net cash flows increased from £100 to £1500. The property was transformed into a stylish and comfortable serviced accommodation.
