6 Beds Generating £76,000, Beating the Competition & Creating Community with Lee Moffatt
In this 45-minute podcast episode, Lee and Andy conversed about their experiences in the property investment and HMO business industry. Here’s a quick overview of what you will hear in this podcast episode:
From Corporate Employee to a Full-Time Property Investment Executive Director
From being a Technology Consultant and a Product Manager in the Finance Industry, Lee took a huge leap leaving his corporate, demanding job to become full-time as a property investor and business director of ELM Property Investments.
Here he talked about the sacrifices he did from that decision and the strategies he employed to counter the challenges of maintaining an HMO Portfolio based in Central London.
Case Study: 6-bed All-ensuite Professional Co-living Space in Canary Wharf
Andy was curious about this case study and how well this property is performing given that it is located in one of the most expensive and challenging places to build a property portfolio in Central London.
Generating £76,000 annual income, it is no doubt one of the most expensive properties to let out there. Yet it is a good place that attracted many tenants and is performing well against its competitors that Lee has to share some of his secrets from developing the property up to managing it.
Lee gave an overview of his business model, his strategies, as well as how he and his team overcame the challenges of developing this property.
He also conversed about building a good relationship with his tenants and that building a small community with the tenants within the property increases their satisfaction living there thus giving way to a high retention rate.
Advice to Budding Property Investors
During the podcast episode Lee gave advice to budding property investors who want to follow in his footsteps coming from a corporate job and leaving to focus full-time on a business.
After that a sneak peek at our company’s upcoming projects was shared before the episode ends.
